The Loan Fund makes loans exclusively in low-income communities to benefit poor and working poor households. We define those in greatest need are defined as low-income persons with incomes at or below 80% of the area median household income in both urban and rural communities.

Over 221,000 low-income elderly household in Florida spend over 50% of their income on housing.
Low-wage, service sector jobs dramatically increase the numbers of Florida's "working poor" who do not earn "living wages" particularly in downturn economic times.
