The market area for the Florida Community Loan Fund includes the entire state of Florida. More specifically, it serves - through its financial
and technical assistance to borrower organizations - the target population of low-income persons and households
with incomes at or below 80% of the area median - in rural and urban counties.
The Loan Fund uses its resources to build stronger Florida communities.
The Loan Fund operates under the assumption that local organizations-in tune with local challenges and aware of community assets-are best equipped to help revitalize their communities. It further assumes that the lack of access to capital is a significant barrier for these organizations. The Loan Fund sees its role as a provider of capital and technical assistance to encourage, stimulate and expand the activities of its borrowers in the communities in which they live and work.
To support economic development the Loan Fund lends to:
Developers of affordable housing
Nonprofit economic development organizations
Human service agencies which serve low-income or other disadvantaged persons
Community nonprofit intermediaries or loan programs at the local level
Your loan to Pleasant Place was the last piece of the puzzle to make the formation of Pleasant Place a reality. Your funding made our mission attainable. You have certainly helped the Gainesville area and us. Keep up the wonderful work.
