Equity capital investments are the most essential type of investment to the Loan Fund. It is at the heart of the Loan Fund and is a type of permanent investment that allows the Loan Fund to leverage the additional debt loan capital from which it lends.
For every $1 of equity capital received, the Loan Fund is able to lend $3 in debt capital to worthy community projects.
Equity investments are generally made in the form of a permanent gift or grant. Contributors of equity can take satisfaction in knowing that their investment has the capacity to leverage and deliver significant capital resources into Florida low-income communities while simultaneously helping to grow and ensure the sustainablity of the Loan Fund.
