Investor Services : Investor Benefits

All types of investments in the Loan Fund, whether it be a grant, a loan or a contribution, offer high "social impact returns."

TYPES OF INVESTMENTS & RETURNS

Equity contributions...
Offer social returns, tax deductibility and the knowledge that you are helping to establish and grow Florida's only independent, statewide Loan Fund on a lasting basis.

Debt capital investments...
Also generate social returns. In addition, they offer short-term financial returns on a fully redeemable note at maturity.

General contributions...
Are the most flexible type of support you can contribute to the Loan Fund and are fully tax-deductible.

SOCIAL IMPACT RETURNS

Provide investors and contributors with a sense of meaning and accomplishment in knowing their resources are being used in a charitable, but business-like fashion, to finance creative community solutions to serious social and economic challenges facing Florida's most disadvantaged communities, families and future generations of children.

All contributions also offer tax deductibility.

FINANCIAL RETURNS

Provide interest earnings (like any other investment) to socially concerned individual supporters of the Loan Fund. Earnings may not be as high as with other forms or types of investments, but they come with the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to build communities and advance social justice in Florida's poorest areas. Depending upon the type of investment, an investor can experience a reasonably modest and safe financial return through the Loan Fund of up to 2-3%.

When considering an investment or contribution to the Loan Fund, investors recognize that the Loan Fund is a federally certified but not federally insured community development financial institution. It is also registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Affairs.

"The Florida Community Loan Fund is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. It complies with the registration requirements of Chapter 496, Florida Statutes, the Solicitation of Contributions Act. Registration number is SC-08044 (Expires 4/6/2004).

A copy of the official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Florida division of consumer services by calling toll free in-state 1-800-435-7352.

Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the state. The Florida Community Loan Fund does not retain professional solicitors on a contract basis. 100% of all charitable contributions are received directly by the organization."
