Investor Types:Individual Investors and Contributors

The Loan Fund is Florida's Loan Fund.

Established by socially concerned individuals and civic leaders from all walks of religious, business, and civic life, it is the trust, contributions and investments of individual investors that ground the social conscience of the Loan Fund's work and its commitment to the social justice principles of its mission.

By making a tax-deductible contribution, your donation can help support the general operations of the Loan Fund or be used as a contribution to the Loan Fund's pool of "equity" capital. Equity capital contributions increase the Loan Fund's ability to lend and re-lend resources to the nonprofit organizations at work on important affordable housing, economic development and essential social service projects in Florida's most disadvantaged communities around the state.

Individuals can also consider making relatively short-term low or no-interest period investments in the Loan Fund. An individual investor may make an investment of $1000 or more, at any time, for a term of 2-5 years at a rate of 0-2%. Investments are fully recoverable, and investors receive an annual report and interest payment upon the June 30th closing of the Loan Fund's fiscal year.

While the Loan Fund is not federally insured, short-term investments are safeguarded by nearly $1 million in existing equity capital assets, the use of loan loss reserves taken on every loan made, and a loan loss record to date of less than .5%.

Individual investors believe in the Loan Fund's mission and are generally seeking to make meaningful qualified socially responsible investments in Florida as part of their overall investment portfolio management practices.

Whether you give or invest, you can help secure Florida's future by building stronger and more just communities for us all. If you want to request more information about how to make the Loan Fund a part of your charitable giving or investment portfolio today, click here.

Whether you are a full-time permanent or part-time seasonal resident of Florida, born here or retired here, the Loan Fund offers individual investors, like you, ways to contribute to making Florida a better place to live while earning a financial and a social return on your funds.

Whether you live in Miami, the Panhandle, Central Florida, Key West or Naples, the Loan Fund can put your investment to work in all or any one of its seven lending regions throughout the state.
