The Florida Community Loan Fund provides loans for community facilities that target services to low income clients or are located in low-income neighborhoods. It also provides that economic development loans to nonprofit organizations engaged in commercial or business development activities that service the needs of low-income communities and are part of planned redevelopment of distressed neighborhoods.
Community facilities loan opportunities include:
- Facilities loans for non-profits engaged in services such as immigration and job services, educational services, daycare services to targeted low-income populations
- Loans to develop or build non-profit community centers in low-income neighborhoods
- Loans to acquire and rehabilitate buildings for residential treatment programs
- Loans to provide temporary housing or shelter augmented by social services targeted to low-income special needs clients such as the homeless, pregnant teens, or for victims of domestic violence

Minimum Social Impact Measure:
For community facilities, Borrower must demonstrate how low-income people and the surrounding neighborhood will benefit from the proposed project and track units of service provided. For economic development, Borrower must show specifically how jobs are created and attracted through project and how surrounding neighborhood will benefit from proposed project.
